I've just upgraded to XBian 1.0 Beta 1.1 from Alpha 5 and now when I plug in an external USB HDD it is not being recognised, until I go to file manager and add it myself. Also, as I have several HDDs I've only been able to successfully add one. The others are seen in file manager but the contents are not visible. All HDDs are inputted through a powered hub.

Already known. See

Also read the Official Beta 1.1 thread.
Temporary fix:
Programs -> Xbian-config
Preferences -> Advanced User
Services -> DBUS -> Status (Should show stopped) select to start.
Shutdown -> Exit
Sign in
sudo start xbmc
The disks should be showing in videos and music
