Full Version: how to install wifi driver wifi ZyDAS ZD1211B chipset was rebranded Atheros AR5007

Hi all,

I'm not linux expert so I'm asking for a help to install on xbian wifi driver for ZyDAS ZD1211B chipset (was rebranded as the "Atheros AR5007UG").
I founded existing a driver for debian at this link: https://wiki.debian.org/zd1211rw
but I didnt understand if is possible to install it on xbian.
I'm windows expert, can some one help mi to understand how to install on xbian?

the driver is included in kernel by default. you just need to install firmware binary files as described on the site you provided.

you mean I have to write only this "apt-get update && apt-get install zd1211-firmware" and the driver is loaded?

after you enable non-free packages from repo

edit /etc/apt/sources.list and add "non-free" to
Code:
deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ wheezy main
line

(prior to update / install)
