Dear Users,

I just received my second raspberry pi (Model B)
I tried to boot with a new sd card with xbian installed through the installer, but no succes. I tried the same sd card in my older model B an it boots just fine.
When I tried to boot with the older Sd card (xbian also) it still wont boot.

The new raspberry pi boots raspbmc and raspbian fine.

Has anyone a solution? I would really like to use Xbian on both devices.

Francois
Thanks for the quick reply

The other LEDs do light up now after I copied the new files onto the sd card.
But I dont get any signal on my tv. When I put the card into the older B model I do get a signal on my tv.
Ok, we're getting there.....

We will need a lot more information.

Can you post the details a requested in "Please read before you post" in my signature, also if possible your "dmesg" output.

Thanks
Problem solved.

I had the device powerd by a active usb hub. (old one also).
When I plugged in the power from a usb adapter Xbian booted like it should. I already did this before replacing the files with no luck.
So replacing the 2 files was the solution.
lesson for me: dont feed the raspberry pi through a usb hub.

Thanks for the help.
The RPi needs at least 700ma at boot - a standard USB will only provide 500ma.

Glad you got it sorted.

Can you change the status from Problem to Solved. Tnx
