I recently did a package upgrade on xbian and it seems like everything freezes after a few minutes. I try to change backgrounds in Amber and it freezes. Just switching menus in some skins causes this. Did updating break this?

what update should have it been? firmware ?

do a:
Code:
sudo -i
cd /tmp
wget http://ivka57.dyndns-ip.com/rollback/xbian-package-firmware1.4-3.deb
dpkg -i xbian-package-firmware1.4-3.deb
reboot
Yes, I did the firmware. I thought that it was xbmc that was broken not the firmware.

Can you retry Confluence and see it that makes a difference. It may be an Amber issue!
I also had this happen with some other skins.

System freezes
How to reproduce:

Open SMB share and begin scrolling. Occurs in skins AMBER.
what happens if you install this repo into XBMC and reinstalls the AMBER skin from within this one patched?

skin is called AMBER-XBIAN.MOD
Which repo?

https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian-xbmc-repository

take the zip, install into XBMC as ADD-ON zip install - repo XBIAN will be shown as source and take the AMBER from there.
Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I tried the zip here:

https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian-xbmc-repository/blob/master/xbian-xbmc-repository.zip

And it says it's the wrong structure.

Am I doing that right mk01?
@Kruuth. I think there maybe a problem, as I tried to use this repo on admittedly Beta 1.2 and I get the "Wrong Structure" also.

I'd suggest switch back to confluence and use that as a default. Post dmesg and xbmc.log
