Is it possible (or would it be possible) to set a schedule for library updates?

I have my server power down over night and every morning there's a box on the xbian screen saying that it couldn't update and would I like to continue.

What I would like is the possibility to set the updater to only update during certain times and not others (like evenings when using the pi or nights when the server is offline).

Is it do-able?

google is your friend m8 Wink and also always start a search on our or XBMC forum and also the very first step should be a look through XBMC Wiki OFC Wink

Thank you Rikardo! Smile

I should have looked there first, but didn't on this occasion. I'll try not to let it happen again Tongue

@Skywatch Are we talking about Xbian updates or media update?

If your talking about media updates there is a xbmc add-on that will do all of that for you - a PITA when you switch the RPi on but.......

Xbian updates can be handled via xbian-config.
Yes it's the media library updates that have this little annoyance and I do have the addon installed to do this.

I have looked at the link on here but don't understand how to continue with that. crontab -l gives me a "no crontab for root", so that's the next thing to look into tomorrow!

Shouldn't cronjobs be running as the xbian user?
