@TheMystery
sometimes changes in FW are also dependent on some other parts in kernel. if you add staging repository, you can install kernel 3.10.23 (as package-kernel 1.3-6.3) and FW from Dec. 8th (package-firmware 1.4.10)

Oke thx, i will try.
I put in /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://xbian.brantje.com staging main
did an apt-get update and then apt-get install xbian-package-kernel
kernel is now:
uname -r
3.10.18+
I downloaded the fw from 9 dec a few days ago from the following site(fixup_x.dat, start_x.elf) and put it on my boot partition:
https://github.com/Hexxeh/rpi-firmware/tree/master
Is this the same fw as the package xbian-package-firmware?

yes the same.xbian package is updating also the libraries and utility binaries - which should be aligned with fw itself.
i took 3.10.23 down as there are strange usb issues
@TheMystery
btw: don't hesitate - open issue on github at rpi-firmware … ask popcornmix for advice
