@mk01 no probs, I just thought this one can be promising.

did you get the email I cc you in? hope he contacts you soon.

hope for the best, be prepared for the worst. good positive thinking, I hope it wont be too much of a sore head
yes got email. yesterday if you mean.
@mk01 did you receive the hardware? hope so Smile Christmas will make everything slow
yes ?
just received my CuBox-i yesterday, been using it with geexbox and while SW is in early stages this thing is really fast
been streaming videos very stable, but it has some bugs.

installing and updating on geexbox is so not nice. xbian is the best and easier
Video running on GeexBox with XBMC Gotham. http://youtu.be/QKfgPDreaIU
Sintel 720p 5.1
Not perfect playback here, but other files are playing very nicely. This thing is very fast, I rarely see the 'working' popup
@xraxor,

nope, haven't received cubox, nor phone call, nor email.
anyway
as I said to @xraxor, shame he didnt ask before he buy this pice
Why spent almost 100 EUR for this which is not run XBMC even close to RPi and there is lack of development where you can buy a ready made, really nice looking and great running XBMC box which include good looking remote/querty keyboard

the fact that you get RUNNING xbmc on the HW directly out of the box doesn't make it (unfortunately) immediately better.

I don't have any information at all about this one but it looks to me like all the closed source products burned in "ROM" like from philips, samsung, asus and others. yes, having XBMC there is making it usable product comparing to the named brands, but in few weeks or months new library will be issued. new xbmc, new addons, new dependencies. or IOS8 with broken airplay.

a preinstalled XBMC is not guarantee that in 5m this one will meet the other brothers - in waste.

Quote:you cant separately upgrade XBMC its built into our firmware and we apply fixes from XBMC.org and add features to our own build of XBMC

We are currently using Frodo v12.2 of XBMC with some features of Gotham (V13) implemented. We are working on a Gotham based build and it will be offer as a beta build when we feel its ready,
yes, as I told.

OpenElec based closed firmware.

maybe, but with support and not like that cubox. and what it should do it does.
in my eye the XBMC will never run proper on cubox
there is so many platforms like this with lack of support and look at the price m8, 100EUR !!!
I can have a real beast running full fat linux for that money.
common, dont make me laugh Wink
Why are you guys complaining about a device that does not have a community? Every community needs to start from somewhere, so why not let XBian be the starter?
