Hi,

I just wanted to test Xbian on my Pi but I can't get it installed.
OpenELEC, NOOB oder RaspBMC boots fine.

I use a Pi with 512 Mb Ram and a 16Gb Transcend SHDC Class 10 Card.
And a Windows 7 PC. I also tried two different Card-Readers.

The very first try I saw a XBian Screen "resizing SD or something like that" but it stalled and didn't continue after maybe 15%.
So I tried again and again an again.
Formated the card with SDFormater, Installed Xbian by hand with Win32DiskImager, by installer
Mostly I only got a black Screen - PI only lighting one red LED
On the last try I got a blinking cursor with all LED's on but nothing happend.

In the meantime I installed NOOB just to check the hardware is ok.

So what's wrong?
Thanks for your help!
Can you post the output from /boot/cmdline.txt and /boot/config.txt (Can be read by Windoze)
sure.

config.txt (Click to View)

I just compared the config.txt from raspbmc with the one from xbian.
I changed one thing and my Pi startet!

I changed
initramfs initramf.gz 0x00a00000
to
initramfs initramf.gz 0x00800000

After setting everything up Xbian requestet a reboot.
From there on: black screen, only one red LED Sad

Now I changed "disable_splash=1" from 1 to 0
Pi started!
Nice loop... Sad
Again, after a reboot - Pi hangs at rainbow screen
It might be the SD card. Can you edit config.txt and put this in.

initramfs initramfs.gz 0x00a00000
gpu_mem_512=256
gpu_mem_256=128
over_voltage=0

and post the results.

Also post the output of dmesg via pastebin
Thanks for your answer.
I'll give a try now!

Could you please explain what to do to post dmesg?

just stops at rainbow-screen
