Hello,

since I updated to beta 2 I can see the box is booting up much faster, but XBMC became quite slow (moving around through the menus and starting movies mostly, with a hd movie taking up to 2 mins to start). Also many movies now appear to have no sound, when I exit the player, XBMC exits, restarts and gets even sluggier. Alpha 3 was a lot more responsive, here...

How should I go about this? What more info should I provide?

I'd upgrade to RC1.

There are a few issues but nothing serious.

Also provide information about where your movies are stored USB, NAS, SMB etc.

How soon after booting does this happen? Beta 2 and RC1 do a lot of processing once started but settle down after a couple of minutes.

Provide xbmc.log and dmesg output.

RC1, hummm? Didn't notice that! Thanks for telling!
I disabled quite a few addons that some skin, I did not use in the end, had installed and most of the sluggishness went away. Also the sound problem is gone now.

Will see what happens after the upgrade (fingers crossed!).
