looks like your media sources and libraries havent survived reboot and have been vanished.
This might be cause by using our earlier Alpha 4 build or something else.
You can try to fix it - there is a fix on our forum
Or I recommend you to reflash he latest Alpha 4 image from download section on main page

The "movies" section only appears once you added movies through the "videos" section.
If you have the problem rikardo1979 mentioned, the fix is here: http://forum.xbian.org/thread-168.html (issue #2).

I rather not to do that since I have different plugin and configuration... can I do a command line upgrade or reflash?

adding the source is not enough. You have to scan the media from this source into library and that will show as a movie on main screen. If you scanning media into library you should see the progress bar of scanning on top right of the screen

Dumb question. How can I manually scan the source? Previously, it will just do it itself.

Ok, cool! I think I got it scanning but now something else is happening to me which I had this problem before.
When it's scanning my database thru the network. It will freeze and everthing become unresponsive. I thought RPi maybe slow but it's froze. I can't even ping it. Has anyone got the same or similar problem?

Do you have the problem on all movies?
think, but have to do more test, there's a bug with omxplayer (or other, but problem is only on pi?) if movie is not complete while you start reading
i'm working on a plugin who do that same thing, or if i copy a file to the pi, and start reading the file before it have finished to copy, file play well, but i've to reboot pi to read next file.
on the log, there are an omx player error.
