Full Version: xbmc's tvheadend pvr v1.9.30 plugin does not read channel names/icons properly

The tvheadend pvr plugin (v1.9.30) included in the latest xbian (rc3) seems to be broken: channel names and icons are not loaded properly. This was tested against tvheadend 3.4p1 and 3.9.1558~ga8d5bbc. On XBMC 13.2 on windows (with tvheadend pvr plugin v1.9.27) it does load the channel names properly.

Cleaning the PVR database doesn't help; the channels get reloaded but their names are wrong. As you can see in the logs the channel names are just random numbers. Obviously they have proper names in tvheadend.

I'm thinking v1.9.30 of the plugin is just broken, would i be possible to switch back to v1.9.27?
After some search I found this thread: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=203793

Quote:No bug, just an incompatibility. the addons repo already includes an API change which is not yet merged into XBMC.

So maybe there's an incompatibility between the PVR Addons API and XBMC API used?
with the anaconda's patch to pvr-addons source handling it should be fixed.
just update the git issue after your testing please ...
After installing the latest xbian-package-xbmc I can now confirm this issue has been resolved.

FYI: I needed to reset my database after upgrading/rebooting before the correct channel names and icons were loaded.

Thanks mk01 and anaconda!
