Full Version: XBMC keeps freezing

Hi, I have been using xbian for a while now with no real issue but lately I have been experiencing some very recurrent freezes in xbmc where the only solution is to manually switch off the RPI. For some reason I have two folders containing xbmc.log, one named .xbmc the other .kodi. Is that normal? I can't seem to find anything wrong in the logs below.

Edit: this morning I got a Kernel panic - not syncing : Fatal exception

You might have the same problem as i have in my 2 rPi... Search for the thread Kernel Panic in software/installation to see if you have the same issues.
Same here.

Unfortunately, it even happens on the old kernel (3.17).
Watch this thread if someone find a solution:

Thanks, works for me Smile
Did you set the overclock to RPi2? If yes, try disabling it. I have two Rpi2 s they both frequently crash when I set them to default Pi 2 frequency.

It seems that one update produced the problem. Another one solved it. But since two weeks I have the same problem again. Let's see if this helps. I will report back.
I have this problem too.
Screen output is freezed after switch hdmi on TV.
Through mobile application I can control my xbian on raspberry pi2, but screen is still freezed.
SSH is working too. Only screen is freezed.
I restart xbian and all is ok.
This is after xbian upgrade from menu in xbian.
