Don't know in which sub-group to post this. So I try it here.

Before I start: Am I right that there is no way to test Xbian on a i386 like system before buying a Pi?

I tested OpenELEC (run on intel cpus without problems) with Kodi and got a problem to setup two UPnP-Servers for my music. I need two seperated music archives. But Kodi itself doesn't offer that and OpenELEC doesn't have the abbility to install other software with apt-get or things like that.

But I really like Kodi and all that video-playing stuff from samba-shares (have NAS here), etc.

Because I can not test it I am asking if it is possible with xbian to setup two UPnP-Server instances?
How could this be possible?

Which server runs there? Can I just create a second instance?
Or can I install a second different server (e.g. twonky)?
How can I install software in xbian? apt-get I think because it is debian based?
No way to test xbian as it is ARM CPU only. You can use more than one DLNA server on XBian.

We are an apt based Debian distribution.
I see.

Which servers would you suggest for a Pi and Xbian?
Which server whould you suggest for use on XBian?
Personally I like xupnpd:

I also like miniupnpd:

I believe there is a RPi image for VirtualBox but I wasn't overly impressed with it.

If you could explain your setup and why you need 2 uPnP servers. that would help a lot. You can link more than one uPnP server in Xbian.

I personally like miniDLNA as I have that running on a spare RPi B.

Xbian is open - which is why I use it. apt-get works perfectly.
