Hellow to all, first sorry for my english.

I have a Sony kdl-37s5600 with RM-ED017 remote and i want use HDMI-CEC but the TV has the HDMI control -> ON and do nothing, i test other HDMI Cable, I readed the TV Manual and the TV had CEC. I have other samsung TV and work perfectly. But i want use the Sony!

I am reading a lot and i can't please helpme!!

I found this but i fail in the step 1:

Quote:Step 1: Is Your Remote Recognized?

Verify that your remote is recognized by LIRC:

xbian@xbian:~# sudo su
root@xbian:~# /etc/init.d/lirc stop
root@xbian:~# mode2
space 989187
pulse 2650
space 894
pulse 467
space 413
pulse 475
space 387
pulse 475
space 866
pulse 483
space 835
pulse 1364
If mode2 doesn’t output anything, then your remote isn’t recognized by the system. Ask for support so we can figure out what the right hardware.conf should be.

If you use GPIO on the Raspberry Pi, add “lirc_rpi gpio_in_pin=#” to /etc/modules. (Replace # with your input pin.) Also, move and rename /etc/lirc/hardware/lirc_rpi.conf to /etc/lirc/hardware.conf.

Sorry if i did something bad i have very bad english.
if your your TV dos not work its more likely its not supported. this would be something for libcec developers and not for XBian guys
the thing you was trying has nothing to do with CEC protocol or CEC remote, so its pointless (LIRC (Linux Infrared remote control))

Can i buy one usb control remote for the raspberry pi 2 with xbian?
You can buy the Pulse-Eight CEC/USB Adapter https://www.pulse-eight.com/p/104/usb-hdmi-cec-adapter

Or use any lirc compatible dongle/remote.

no need for CEC adaptor in case of Raspberry as it has build in CEC which doesnt work in his case which is due to support issue related to his TV
So this user has few options

- cheap IR remote
- smartphone app like Yatse or Kodi remote
- webserver remote
Yes I was thinking the adapter allowed non-cec TV to be cec, but it allows non-cec devices to connect to cec compatible tvs....my fault.
