Problem description:
First time, I installed the latest version with the laucher on windows, everythings go well. I pluged my rapsberry with the SD card, and after the stead "Lauching Kodi" the screen goes black and i couldn't do anything. I tried to switch off/switch on my TV, but nothing.

Second time is used Win32DiskImager to install the XBian_2015.09.26_rpi.img and i get exactly the same problem.

How to reproduce:
I don't know.

Can somebody help me to install Xbian ?

Thank for answer
Somebody ?
Have you tried using a different power supply? One that delivers more than 700mA?

Have you used any other linux distros other than Xbian? Did they work?

Yes, I've tried with a 2000mA too. But same problem.

Before installing Xbian, my raspberry was under RaspBMC and everything were ok, i used it like 1 or 2 years... Now i want to switch to Xbian because it's still developt, not RaspBMC :/
Did you not know OSMC is the new RaspBMC?
what kind of PSU are you using? dos it have fized USB cable or are you always using same USB<>Micro USB cable with different PSU?
What about LEDs on RPi when it goes black? Any sign?
Did you try SSH when its black?
I was having the same problem - everything looked nice until it finished booting, then a black screen....

I added this line to my config.txt file in the /boot partition and after rebooting, I could see everything as I should (the bootup logo's are now massive but I can live with that)...

hdmi_safe=1

I just added the extra line at the bottom.

(fortunately the boot partition is visible in Windows so if you don't like SSH / vi etc... you can plug the SD card into a suitable card slot/adapter and add the line using notepad etc... )

I hope this helps,

Steve
change
disable_overscan=1
to
disable_overscan=0
in the config.txt file worked for me

I have the same problem (posted as a new issue today)...basically I have two boot sd cards, one for the latest image and one from v14.something....both config.txt are the same - the old one runs perfectly, the new one does not i.e. loss of video during Loading Kodi splash screen.

Tried disable_oversacn ...still no change :-(
Are you still stuck with this issue - I am...I tested/tried OSMC and that's working fine :-)
Was this issue posted on github already?
Not sure - I've not been there before.

However, I seem to have progressed....updates on my thread http://forum.xbian.org/thread-3211.html
Seems to have been fixed i.e. for the latest 29-11 update the video is back :-)...see my thread (link above)
