Hello,

I tried some times to boot xbian in my HummingBoard, It boots and I can login through SSH, but Kodi does not start.

Did you change locales? I had same issues with my Hummingboard pro (Quad/2GB) 4 month ago after changing language to DE

Was able to solve this issue by copying the /home/xbian/.kodi folder from another (Raspberry Pi) installation.

Weeks later I tried to reproduce this issue (by removing .kodi folder), but was not able to reproduce.

Should I copy userdata from other installation?

Yes (I copied complete .kodi folder, but userdata should be enough)

Tested it with my Hummingboard and image XBian_2016.03.01_imx6

Got same error - kodi did not come up. But I was able to get kodi work:

1. Flashed image
2. Booted Hummingboard. Resize was ok, system rebooted and splash "Starting kodi ..." was on screen for a looooong time. So powered off and rebooted again -> kodi was up
3. Did not do any changes in kodi (resoluton was 1280x720), stopped kodi, started kodi got black screen but kodi was up
4. killed kodi, and removed folder /home/xbian/.kodi and started kodi again -> kodi came up and then changed resolution to 1080p (50 or 60 Hz doesn't matter) and stopped kodi again. Now kodi always comes up.

I tried to follow your steps, but it does not work for me. I also tried:

- Remove the folder and reboot, kodi starts create the folder but it always die.
- Kill kodi, remove the folder and restart kodi ( A lot of times) without success.
- The first time that I boot the board, after partition is resize, If I connect to the board through SSH it is really slow and I can see that kodi is using 400% of the CPU (The whole CPU). In my system kodi always die or if it is running it use the whole CPU (4 Threads).
- I also tried to connect it to the TV without success.

Did you get in the first boot the same log from Kodi that I posted?

To stop/start Kodi I use "sudo start xbmc" or "sudo service xbmc start" I think it should execute the same script.

I am having trouble starting kodi on my cubox-i.

When I start the device, it boots, I see the kodi splash screen and then it crashes and drops me into a terminal.

any suggestions on what I should try?

Edit: Trying with xbian-jessie-latest-imx6 instead of xbian-latest-imx6, exact same problem.
