No (AllWinner == very very bad support for open source)
What are you planning to do with it?
( but anyway, interesting board for low price
)
From their forum
Will Kodi run on the Pine64 ?
it is clearly annouced, but all messages from kodi, osmc and openelec dev's says the same thing : we won"t do anything with Allwinner hardware
What a pity this wasn't the spec for the raspberry pi 3.....
Still, maybe there will be a raspberry pi 4 before the end of the year?

Yeah, Allwinner is a pretty bad choice...but for this price I could not resist and order it from pure curiosity
There is a decent Android build on which Kodi runs pretty fine.
They can even play 4k videoe with HW decoding but not within Kodi.
My intention was and is to try multimedia. So Kodi or something else.
If is not going to be any good it is going to end up on eBay

no, only 1.4
So maximum 30fps 4K, that wasn't very forward looking of them.
Do you have a 4K set?

well, I do not see this an issue to be honest.
I do have 4k set, but ask me how much 4k stuff I watched on it in past 18months....I can tell you exactly...none...one big fat zero
There is not much stuff available in 4k and I don't see it will be much more available in near future
Netflix has been growing in 4K content.

not using it. Pretty bad selection they offering to be honest. At least for me
Damn just checked, only 27 different titles (some shows) currently in 4K on Netflix.
That does suck, I thought it was much more.
