Hi i have the same remote.
When I press keys on the remote I don't see anything on irw
however the remote does work. -xbian responds to it.
i would love to add some functions to the remote I just dont know what and how to edit it.

Enable debug mode, check the xbmc log for the names of the buttons, and continue here:
