The last two times I've updated my system (with apt-get upgrade), my system has rebooted upon the completion of the installations, where never before had it done this. What changed to introduce this behavior and how do I disable it?
Nothing has been changed. Did you had an immediate reboot or did you get a one minute delay?

If first one, maybe you have enabled your unattended reboot feature of apt,
if latter one, this is feature since many years: A reboot (if needed) will be done if Kodi is not running after one minute

To disable this feature, please look into file /etc/default/xbian-update

Thanks. I recently stopped using Kodi, so that accounts for my observations.

Why do I have to reboot after selecting a configuration?
