Full Version: Fresh install, set-up wizard and xbian config in kodi slow when loading packages

edit: I thought this was a total freeze but instead opening the kodi Setting - Xbian was just really slow and took something between 5 and 20 minutes to initialize the packages. Maybe I'll try with a fresh install as well and let it process the packages for a longer amount of time during the first boot wizard. Might also try with a brand new SD card as the old ones I'm using for fresh install seem to have strange hiccups when installing new packages with apt-get or pip.

Old information:
I messed my Xbian up and had to do a fresh install on my Raspberry Pi 2 B+. I downloaded the latest image and copied to the SD card using Win32diskimager. The initial configuration wizard freezes when I try to view the packages I could install in the last step of the wizard. I can stop and restart Kodi from SSH terminal but when I try to enter the Settings - Xbian in Kodi, the loading pop up window freezes at ~20% when it says it's Loading packages...
Initialisation...

Cancelling doesn't help, the title of the popup gets the word "Cancelling..." on it, but Kodi stays frozen.

Here's what the debug log has to say when trying to start the Kodi Xbian settings, prior to trying to cancel:

I guess this might be something minor with the scripts that could be easily fixed. I hope at least.
No idea whats causing this. The scripts are working for years w/o any issue an has not been changed in the past Huh

We talked about this in your other thread, it is a mystery Dodgy

Did you have a look into kernel log (dmesg) or did you checked fs (btrfs scrub start / && watch btrfs scrub status /) ?
