Full Version: Kodi doesn't offer reboot

Since I reinstalled xbian (due to upgrading to a Raspberry 4) the GUI doesn't offer to reboot if this is necessary, instead it just blocks. If in that state I SSH the Raspberry it reacts without a problem and the the text console says that a reboot was necessary. If I click on yes it also reboots without a hitch and it does work again. Until the next reboot is required (due to an upgrade in the background), then the same thing happens again, instead of asking the user if it should reboot the GUI just stalls/freezes/crashes, whatever. It simply doesn't react anymore.
  • What to check/test?
  • What's wrong?
  • Is it a bug or an incorrect configuration?
  • What can I do to correct this?
So, Kodi is freezing, right?

Please look into Kodi's log to see what happens.

Just forced to set the reboot flag and everything works as expected

To force the reboot message, please ssh in and run

Terminal

sudo touch /run/reboot-required
