Today I had a message about enabling Mr Boom add-on

I am confused as I have not installed any add-ons since installing from clean several months ago and I appear to not have the option to uninstall.

Binary addons are always part of Kodi (xbian-package-xbmc).
The notification comes from Kodi itself, unfortunately, the Kodi developers have once again come up with something completely idiotic.

It is the branch you see when you first visit a repo on a site such as GitHub. On a Git remote, it is the branch that HEAD points to.
