Cache has no effect, this happens on chrome/firefox on either Windoze/MacOS X or iOS devices. has been happening for several months now.
Same issue as reported http://forum.xbian.org/thread-195.html

Here is something I don't get.
Let's say I searched a lot to get a problem fixed and ended up finding nothing.
So I register to the forum to maybe find the solution there.
Again finding nothing (might be my lack in searching capability)
So I'm about to open a thread to my problem
Which I'm not allowed to do, because I haven't send any regular post.
That logic defies my somehow. So I'm supposed to share my knowledge about xbian, before I gain it?
(anyways at least I have done my 50% to be allowed to post)

As Nachteule mentioned it's about spammers, if they were allowed to create new topics the forum would be flooded and useless.
The way it's setup spam bots post into existing threads which gives us time to catch and ban them.
I know it's not ideal but we don't have the resources to do it differently.
