Just noticed that there are messages

xbian -- MARK --

every 20 minutes in /var/log/messages.
Can this be suppressed? Looks a bit like debugging....
I'm running XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 with XBMC12.1

Thanks,
John
The MARK messages are default behaviour from syslog. This way you have an idea how long a system was still running when it crashed in the middle of the night for example (the timestamp of the last MARK messages will give you an idea). MARK messages only appear when there have been no other messages for the past 20 minutes.

http://www.debianadmin.com/how-to-disable-the-%E2%80%9C%E2%80%93-mark-%E2%80%93%E2%80%9D-in-debian-log-file.html will probably help you disabling the messages, but I wouldn't worry about them and leave them alone.
Thanks for the explanation, seems more logical now it's explained. This is my first debian installation - have ubuntu on other machines, so might even implement there too...
