I a lot of error in my syslog, CurlyMo told me that my SD card is corrupting (again): http://forum.xbian.org/thread-612.html
I also have a cronjob that does a backup of the entire SD card every day, so I tried to dd all the SD image on my card, but I still get the same errors.
I checked the SD card with F3 (http://oss.digirati.com.br/f3/) and it's not damaged.
I now decided to install xbian from scratch, but I'd like to have back all the programs I downloaded, how can I have a list of the programs installed on my setup?
what do I have to copy in order to restore the installation I have now?
Not quite the solution to your question, but would this help?

If you can correct the corrupting then you could use the backup function if you still wanted.

Hope this helps
thanks, I'll take a look into the thread
