Hi guys

Literally got my Pi today and dived right in. I put on xbian and it loaded up with no major issues. It recognised my wireless mouse great too. I connected my 1tb external HD but when I browse XBMC to find it, I cant. Theres network connections, home folder, root filesystem, upnp devices etc. But nothing saying Samsung 1TB or anything like that.

Have I missed anything here? I want to point out I'm very new to linux, beyond trying out Ubuntu for a few hours Tongue
Go to:
Root filesystem --> media --> usb

Does that point to your external hdd?

No. But, I found the issue. My 1TB HD is trying to run power through the Pi. I think there isn't enough power for it. I need to get myself a powered USB hub. I tried another 500GB HD which has a power adapter, the Pi picked it up straight away.
That would have been my second suggestion Wink Let us know if it fixed it...
