I think we are now slowly getting closer to the matter.
Please check the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbian.list if there are rpi-buster entries, and if yes please delete them. there must be only rpi2-buster entries

And after deletion, run sudo apt-get update and then reinstall xbian-package-xbmc from staging again

OK, did that and now all seems ok, booting ok and no strange behavior with apt...

However, how the wrong rpu-buster entries come into the file is completely incomprehensible to me

Hi all,

I've the same problem after auto update from 19.0 to 19.1 and reboot like pontomedon. The Kodi Gui will start but after 30s it take me to terminal on the screen. I use RPI4 with 16GB SD.
The /var/log/xbmc.log show:

Terminal

May 16 13:12:25: start-stop-daemon: unable to stat /usr/local/lib/kodi/kodi.bin (No such file or directory)
start: Job failed to start
stop: Job has already been stopped: xbmc

Then I flash the Image before on the SD (It will make per cron auto every saturday on Network-HDD) and Kodi works fine. then I stop the XBMC service.

File etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbian.list shows:

After this I plug off plug on raspi on Power.

Now the Kodi Gui will start but takes me after a while to terminal, same like before Confused ....

Someone an idear what I make wrong Dodgy ???

As already mentioned, I just don't understand at the moment how the faulty rpi-buster entries get into the xbian.list.
I just checked the current XBian_Latest_rpi4.img again, everything is fine there

Yes I had read it, so it really means that the etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbian.list show only

As I understand it my current /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbian.list reads:-
deb http://apt.xbian.org/ stable main rpi2-buster rpi2-buster armv7l-buster rpi-buster armv7l-buster

but should read:-
deb http://apt.xbian.org/ stable main rpi2-buster rpi2-buster armv7l-buster armv7l-buster
