I can confirm that with the master branch (XBMC13alpha4) this issue is atleast partially fixed. XBMC doesn't stop video playback anymore on the audio switch, but there are now noticeable artifacts and atleast 10s of video is skipped instead.

Ahh.. Better. Got Gotham! And the clip no longer crashes when changing audio stream. It does skip a few seconds, and have some pixelation afterwards, but it is a lot better than the clip just crashing (but it does leave room for improvement, as suggested on the xbmc forum) Thanks
