I tried to upgrade, but after reboot only the "PWR" LED is shining. Should I change something in the cmdline.txt file? To come back to my question I tried to edit my cmdline.txt by setting the root to /dev/sda1 but still no response. Would it be usefull to convert my external disk myself to BTRFS to make it easier to find? RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - xraxor - 26th Jun, 2013 07:10 AM I have a major issue for me here. xbmc doesn't recognise my usb HDD. All my library items are there, but because xbmc didn't mount the drive it doesn't play. I can access the HDD through samba, which makes this even more weird for me. So Xbian mount the HDD but xbmc doesn't. Please can anyone help me here?! RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - belese - 26th Jun, 2013 07:56 AM is it not due to usb is mount by uuid, and your link in library isn't good anymore, like Davem? RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - timdp - 26th Jun, 2013 08:00 AM For what it's worth, a clean install isn't that big a hassle, as long as you have backups. Worked for me, anyway. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - xraxor - 26th Jun, 2013 08:10 AM my problem seems to be different, I cannot find my HDD through xbmc, if I go to file manager I don't see it there. will do a backup, and clean install RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - Dave400 - 26th Jun, 2013 08:12 AM RC6 MCE Remote support is borked, was working fine in alpha 5.. I updated from alpha 5 to beta 1, will try a fresh image tomorrow.. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - bibu - 26th Jun, 2013 08:54 AM After struggles with AirPlay I've decided to do a clean install. Now everything works with an exception. On two of three of my media centers with XBian I have no addon thumbnails. It's irritating because I have shortcuts on my home screen. I've tried deleting Textures13.db - no effect. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - timdp - 26th Jun, 2013 10:24 AM Well, I just had my clean install check for updated packages just in case. apt-get upgrade installed a number of packages and seemed to attempt to carry out an upgrade from a previous version, even though there was never any on this SD card. Things went horribly wrong and my install is broken again. Probably best not to try upgrading for a while, guys. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - jsandrade - 26th Jun, 2013 12:07 PM Congrats for this new release, for developers!!! Very fast... Hello everyone, I am missing XBMC HUB FUSION to install SportsDevil, IceFilms and Mashup. Btw, where can I locate config.txt and cmdline.txt? They were in /boot on Alpha5. Any tips for this? Thanks in advance. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - Pawlisko - 26th Jun, 2013 01:50 PM Guys, Thanks for great software. But I have to report a bug. sudo iptables --table nat --append POSTROUTING --jump MASQUERADE gives me: iptables v1.4.14: can't initialize iptables table `nat': Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded. In XBian 1.0 Alpha 5 - it worked flawlessly. It is connected with kernel. Just to be sure I started with fresh, clean installation. Could you please look into it - or provide me with workaround. I am using XBian for xbmc, AirPrint, L2TP/VPN server, OpenVPN server, aria2 client, ipv6inv4 endpoint, dns/dhcp for internal network. Everything else worked besides this. Best, Pawlisko RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - alfredo - 26th Jun, 2013 04:41 PM Hi all, I upgraded (remotely, from office) from alpha5 following the instructions given in the news post. Packages installations went smooth (I was not asked the keyboard question "keyboard-setup (Y/I/N/O/D/Z)", however), and after that, xbian rebooted. Now, it's stuck in the "init process" spash screen, but nothing seems to be really happening (no flashing lights on the board nor on a usb stick attached to it). I cannot ssh to the machine. I noticed the installation removed a packaged named initsysv or similar, but I assumed it was intended and carried on. Any idea, hint, suggestion on how to recover from this state? Possibly remotely, as I don't have a keyboard here besides the one on the laptop ;-) I consider fresh re-install an option, but a very last resort one, as I'd need to reconfigure the whole box. Thanks all! RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - Koenkk - 26th Jun, 2013 05:07 PM (26th Jun, 2013 12:07 PM)jsandrade Wrote: Congrats for this new release, for developers!!! Very fast... - We've replaced fusion with superrepo, if you google for fusion you will find instructions on how to readded. - From beta 1 we will protect the fragile /boot fat partition. To access it use: mount /boot RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 1 thread - nass06 - 26th Jun, 2013 07:08 PM No One?
