RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Erol - 8th Apr, 2015 08:21 PM Same issue here, updated this morning and it drops to CLI. It seems that partitions are not getting mounted properly. Anyone has idea how to fix ? Yep same problem exactly... Thks for the Git link. i've reported my problem there too now. (but the initial problem of this thread is not solved yet) RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Diako - 9th Apr, 2015 01:20 AM (9th Apr, 2015 01:01 AM)Exnor Wrote: (but the initial problem of this thread is not solved yet) I confirm. I still have to reboot my RPi at least once a day RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Erol - 9th Apr, 2015 03:03 AM I have reverted back to state before installing xbian-update-20150407-0 with booting into rescue mode then mounting my sdcard and moving root snapshot before today to @. I hope this helps someone with the same issue. I will wait for this to be officialy fixed before I do another xbian update. cheers RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Exnor - 9th Apr, 2015 08:16 AM (9th Apr, 2015 03:03 AM)Erol Wrote: I have reverted back to state before installing xbian-update-20150407-0 with booting into rescue mode then mounting my sdcard and moving root snapshot before today to @. Well running an old build solves the problem sure but then we cannot update the software... Its a temporary solution but not the one i would hope to have to resort to in the end. RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - syco - 9th Apr, 2015 08:24 PM Yeah, I am hoping for the fix, too. But I have trust in the Xbian power. RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Diako - 11th Apr, 2015 09:19 PM After one month with this kernel panic problem, still no solution ??? RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Diako - 13th Apr, 2015 06:24 AM I don't know if it's the result of all the freezes and the savage reboot but know i have my filesystem becoming read-only... It's a catastrophe ! This is the dmesg : http://pastebin.com/BJSMQGxH Is there any solution to fix it (reinstalling xbian is not a solution) ? EDIT : Kodi doesn't start anymore et Samba share does't work anymore too... RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Diako - 15th Apr, 2015 04:53 AM I found the solution. I replaced Xbian by OSMC and no more freeze although it's still in RC Even the memory consumation is lower RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - syco - 15th Apr, 2015 06:17 AM I did an update yesterday or today ... and then some minutes ago it crashed (again ... sorry, over 30 crashes on two Pis in the last 30 days is just way too much). After a restart it does not boot into Xbian anymore. So, it is dead more or less. Not so nice. I will try to make a photo of the written error code. I cannot log-in into Xbian anymore ... I am fucked. RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - syco - 15th Apr, 2015 08:06 AM Photo. Any help or advice? RE: Kernel Panic randomly on 2 units - Exnor - 15th Apr, 2015 09:30 PM Report: After a week (?) of using a 2 full updated rPi 1 B and Kodi 14.1 and LZO compression on the OS partition i have to report ZERO Kernel Panics or other OS crashes.. Kodi 14.1 is more usable than the 14.2(?) version that started the problem (i think its Kodi or other service related because the Kernel as not been downgraded or updated since) but still with erratic performance. Still from my part i can mark this thread as solved if no ones opposes. Thks to all for the help. (15th Apr, 2015 04:53 AM)Diako Wrote: I found the solution. Although, I am not sure, I will be able to use that faulty Pi without reinstallation now that it is dead. Still randomly slow and sluggish as the 14.1 version i was using until today. |
