Can you try via ssh :
xbian-config updates updatedb.

and if this file exist, delete it :
/home/xbian/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.xbianconfig/cache.db

i've to check wich version is installed on RC1, i will try on french install.
i've done few modif to speed up this part. but seems it don't work like it should. i maybe find the problem.

Same here on 1.0RC1, fails at python2.7-minimal.

I got error message during upgrade:

I started with:
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

After downloading the packages i got the following message:

Delete subvolume '/tmp/btrfs-snap/root/@btrfs-auto-snap_apt-run-2014-03-19-1854'
@btrfs-auto-snap_apt-run-2014-03-19-1942, 1 created snapshots, 1 destroyed snapshots, 0 warnings.

Removing xbian-package-libshairport ...
dpkg: error processing xbian-package-libshairport (--remove):
subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1

This also happend when i used the xbian-config

What to do?

Smultie, that does get my Python updated!! TY, for those who looked at this mk01 - YOU ROCK!! My vB Pi RC1 took it no problem. My vA RC1 Pi, needed a "pkg configure a" after failing first python update. Then was smooth install from there. So this am 3.23.14 vA & vB Pi's running RC1 up to date.

apt-get install xbian-package-xbmc-gotham-nightly

btrfs-auto-snapshot rollback home@test_gotham

btrfs-auto-snapshot rollback root@test_gotham

reboot

this "demo" will snapshot volume root(system,system config, other program binaries & configs), home(XBMC Libraries and settings)
install Gotham (what will upgrade Database files, config files etc for XBMC)

and finally will rollback system to a state before your tests without any complications or additional steps.

Did someone update xbian package firmware? Some trouble?
