XBMC stopped loading, can ssh and start manually - brycestejskal - 18th Jul, 2013 09:06 PM

So I installed a bluetooth adapter and bluez, following this guide:

http://www.ctheroux.com/2012/08/a-step-by-step-guide-to-setup-a-bluetooth-keyboard-and-mouse-on-the-raspberry-pi/

The adapter works fine and I can see bluetooth devices when using the hcitool scan command.

After doing so, XBMC no longer loads. After the initial XBIAN initialization process it goes to "Starting XBMC", once this finishes it just goes to a black screen.

I can SSH in and start XBMC with /usr/local/lib/xbmc/xbmc.bin

But I have to do this everytime via SSH and XBMC quits if I terminate the SSH connection.

Anyone know how I can get XBMC to start automatically upon boot again?

I am fairly new to linux but well versed with computers in general. I have Mint running in a VM on my laptop if I need to edit any files directly. Just do not know where to go from here.

Any Ideas? Thanks for your time

What version of XBian are you running? What does the XBMC logfile say when it fails to start at the beginning (it's located at ~/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log)?
