About the keyboard popout, you could try to change this. Modify the file ~/.xbmc/addons/skin.amber-master/1080i/DialogKeyboard.xml

Meaning it will not start, switch to confluence and navi-x starts again. I'm on the development branch of Xbian and I'm assuming your not, I will pastebin the relevant logs when time permits as this version will eventually be released.

I will see what I can do with the keyboard and large font, if I can resolve it I will share and perhaps you can have a separate SD version of the skin.

RE: Amber skin for XBian [WIP] - Fred - 27th Jul, 2013 03:08 AM

Okay. I am running the latest official beta and tried the latest Navi-X. But yes, before going into this first check some logs.

@IriDium: Thanks for testing, don't know yet what this is but it does not seem to break anything.

I will check the logs when I get home.

RE: Amber skin for XBian [WIP] - Fred - 27th Jul, 2013 08:07 AM

@f1vefour and others: To get a horizontal virtual keyboard at the bottom of the screen replace the file ~/.xbmc/addons/skin.amber-master/1080i/DialogKeyboard.xml by the one attached to this message.

I could not add .xml files so you have to change it to .xml instead of .txt

Re: Amber skin for XBian [WIP] - f1vefour - 27th Jul, 2013 09:09 AM

Your the man Fred, once I get this navi-x issue resolved I will have a new default skin.

A case issue perhaps.

Copied defaults.xml to Defaults.xml and restarted Amber - no longer appeared.

Also getting
19:47:48 T:3042070528 NOTICE: special://xbmc/sounds/sounds.xml, Line 0
Failed to open file
Guess that is related to menu sounds which don't work in RPi.

@IriDium
Im pretty sure it would be related to GUI sound effects and those needs Alsa

That's what I thought. Just thought I'd "report" it so anyone else can find it.

@IriDium: when does that warning appear? When opening xbian-config?

Which one?
1. defaults
2. sound
3. Skin has invalid include.

1 and 2 - when you change to Amber from say Confluence.

3. Haven't seen it again. Will check what I was doing when I next see it again.

RE: Amber skin for XBian [WIP] - Fred - 28th Jul, 2013 06:07 PM

Okay thanks for checking. I don't think it will give any problems to have a small letter instead of a capital letter. I am not going to change it for now because that might cause more problems than it will solve (just a warning). Also renaming it will (I think) cause problems when I wan't to pull in changes from the original skin at github.

RE: Amber skin for XBian [WIP] - zilexa - 29th Jul, 2013 10:44 PM

What is the difference between your version and the official one? Because I have the official one running and XBian Config is already accessible? That's why I actually thought the designer of the skin added XBian-config support.

RE: Amber skin for XBian [WIP] - Fred - 29th Jul, 2013 10:49 PM

Most of the support for this skin is in the xbian-config addon itself.
So on first glance it will work with the original skin, but there are some details fixed in this modded for xbian skin.
Also there is an xbian-config menu button in this one.
