Transmission and ipad - starous - 29th Sep, 2013 03:20 AM Hi guys, I'm using my iPad to access xbian on my raspi. I would like to have the ability to add torrents to transmission directly from my iPad. The problem, as you may or may not know, is that it is not possible to download torrent file to the iPad as well as it is not possible to add add-ons to Chrome. I have also tried to wget torrent files through sash, but it not always possible. Does any one of you have a similar experience? Do you have an idea how to ease my life? Thanks RE: Transmission and ipad - Richdotward - 29th Sep, 2013 06:43 AM Just paste in the link or magnet and it works. Rich Transmission and ipad - starous - 29th Sep, 2013 03:53 PM It doesn't work always. For example, when I download the torrent file from a forum, where I need login and password, the copy paste doesn't work. RE: Transmission and ipad - Richdotward - 29th Sep, 2013 07:03 PM Works fine on mine ? Use it for numerous private sites. Rich Transmission and ipad - starous - 30th Sep, 2013 02:33 AM And if it is not possible, do you have any idea how to bypass this limitation? Use it for numerous private sites. that could mean that the torrent files itself are stored on non-secured storage, but index to it, engine etc (which makes the value out of the .torrent files) is secured. so the owners considered such combination and need. Re: Transmission and ipad - f1vefour - 2nd Oct, 2013 03:04 PM @brantje The OP is using iOS so Transdroid isn't going to help. @starous What is the issue with adding torrents through Transmission's webui? RE: Transmission and ipad - brantje - 2nd Oct, 2013 09:22 PM @f1vefour I know thats why i did [Slightly offtopic /] Transmission and ipad - starous - 3rd Oct, 2013 04:28 AM Sorry guys. Didn't notice your reply. @brantje This app seems very cool, but apple won't allow any similar app in its AppStore :-( @f1vefour As I mentioned before I want to do everything from my iPad, but when I copy URL of some torrents and paste it into transmission's webui it don't work, because in some cases I need to log into the source website to see the torrents. So I need to find a way to download the torrent file and upload it through transmission's webui just by using my iPad and ssh client. |
