Error initscripts when installing DDclient - zilexa - 29th Oct, 2013 12:30 AM

Clean XBian 1.0 beta 1.1 install on 512MB version, 4GB ICIDU SD card.

I installed Transmission using xbian-config and now I try to install DDClient, this normally works. But today its not working:

I have seen this error before, when I ran the update options in XBian-Config. I thought this error was not important. But now it is preventing me from installing ddclient. This is the most important tool for me as it allows easy remote access.

there have been more reports lately with wheezy mirrors causing so much trouble, so I would say you need to wait and try later

yeah worth to try, but I not saying thats the problem but I was reading about the raspbian having some issues Wink

To me it actually looks more like a local issue, not an issue at their servers because the error appears AFTER the setup process has asked me for the dynamic DNS service details. So during actual setup. These questions only appear at first install. So I dont think this is the cause. It has to be XBian related..

Its not an xbian package... I planned to create one for Flexget and one for DDclient but installation is soo easy I didn't bother.
