RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - blamaster - 17th Nov, 2013 10:32 PM Great work Beta 2 is really fast I had problems updating from Beta 1.1 so i installed a clean Beta 1.0 and the update worked as expacted. A few problems that i found while playing with the new Beta: 1. Xbian config wont start. There is a popup "initialise ... kernel version ..." but nothing happens after the loading process. (SSH config works fine) 2. I tried to add a SMB share to the movie path. It found all of the present network devices so i selected one of them. It freezes after the "OK" on the selected device. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - pacoflaco - 18th Nov, 2013 12:30 AM I have the version Beta 1 hotfix 1.2 but when i do the update an error ocurr: A error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: http://ivka57.dyndns-ip.com wheezy Release: The following signatures were invalid: NODATA 1 NODATA 2 W: Failed to fetch http://ivka57.dyndns-ip.com/dists/wheezy/Release W: Some index files failed to download. Should look like this: Terminal deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ wheezy main contrib non-free rp i deb http://xbian.brantje.com stable main (17th Nov, 2013 10:32 PM)blamaster Wrote: Great work Beta 2 is really fast I had problems updating from Beta 1.1 so i installed a clean Beta 1.0 and the update worked as expacted. As you're not upgrading, just grab the new image file in the first post and use that. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - Biasio95 - 18th Nov, 2013 06:25 AM I just installed beta 2 with the new image. It works fine, but when I run apt-get upgrade it says: dpkg: error: reading package info file '/var/lib/dpkg/available': Input/output error E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) How can I fix it? RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - IriDium - 18th Nov, 2013 06:36 AM 1) Are you running as root or sudo? 2) Do you get the same error if you use ssh xbian-config or xbmc xbian-config? RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - meehien - 18th Nov, 2013 06:52 AM just a quick heads-up. the new beta (beta 2) does not add default gateway route for wlan0 for me. maybe other users are also experiencing this problem. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - Biasio95 - 18th Nov, 2013 06:57 AM 1) the same error running with sudo and as root 2) always the same error with ssh xbian-config and xbmc xbian-config. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - CurlyMo - 18th Nov, 2013 07:29 AM What is the content of the file "/var/lib/dpkg/available"? RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - Biasio95 - 18th Nov, 2013 08:03 AM It's a file 463957 lines long, I don't think it's a good idea to copy it here RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - pit79 - 18th Nov, 2013 08:43 AM Hi, Beta2 is awesome, got two question how to remove : swap partition : /dev/mmcblk0p3 ? I got swap on usb so dont need on sdcard. There is nothing about it in fstab and how to move or create zram on/to usb ? RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - CurlyMo - 18th Nov, 2013 08:46 AM @Biasio95, so it's not a corrupted file. Can you try: Code: dpkg --clear-avail RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - agent5150 - 18th Nov, 2013 09:54 AM Awesome release. Upgraded. Instructions were right on target. No issues at all. RE: Official XBian 1.0 Beta 2 thread - brantje - 18th Nov, 2013 11:49 AM The XBian config is messed up (again) |
