Hello,
I'm using the installer with windows 7.
Twice the download stalled, once at 98% and ,now, for the last 20 minutes, at 99%.
My internet is working perfectly.
What might be the issue ? Thank you.

My third attempt : stuck at 96% for more than 2 hours.
Canceling ....

Are you using the latest Win32 installer from the website? Earlier releases had this problem.

same problem here. downloaded win32 installer 6-8 hours ago (XBian-installer-Windows.zip, v1.0, date 06 dec). first attempt stalled at 97%, now at 99%. windows 8.1 64 bit pro. will start again and let it run while I get some sleep.

Yes, I downloaded the installer just yesterday.
I tried again (4th attempt) ... this time it stalled at 2% for half an hour before I aborted.
The internet is working perfectly whenever this has happened.
Now I have downloaded the image file (320MB). That went well with no issues.
Just need to burn the image to SD card using Win32 Imager.
However, the installer issue might need to be looked into.

Ok. I downloaded the installer again and ran it.
13:00 GMT - Worked perfectly - 100% -> Message saying do you want to install.

Well, I don't understand why it will not work for me (and the other poster above) ? ...
May be something has changed just now, is the only explanation ...
Anyways, I have written the image to the SD card manually, so I have not an SD card to test again.

Ok - the only difference I can see is I'm on XP, @roycejp is on Win7 and @chriswiggs is on Win8.
Can anyone on Win7 or 8 double check Tnx

Third time was the charm for me. Only difference was I got a few hours sleep. The only commonality I see is the time and date of attempts. Perhaps something server side?
BTW, all three attempts for me were using the same download and execution of the installer. I just cancelled the img download after hanging for an hour or two and used the option to delete and retry.

@mk01 Can you check too see if there was any downtime or slow responses from the server?

images are on sourceforge. so no and yes. such distruction in service on sourceforge would be reported all over the net.

I booted and configured the SD with Pi B 512 and it seems to be a good DL and burn.
Yes, installer and img came from sourceforge. Was using foxfire for other downloads.
Both hangs seemed to involve handing off those last few bytes of the image.
I've had the same thing happen with some torrent clients.
Didn't notice any disruption of ISP service but it was middle of the night here and
have had some problems with ATT at that time of the day in the past.

I have observed that if there is a break in connection to the server fir whatever reason, the download just freezes for ever, even if connection is restored.
There does not seem to be a 'resume' feature in the installer.
I request the developers of the installer to allow resume of incomplete downloads .

Having the same problem with the installer. Stalls out at 99%. Stopped and retried a bunch of time with the same result. Running Windows 7, everything updated, here with no problems with my internet connection or anything.
Downloading the Xbian image now and will just install that using Win32 Imager.
