How to change the default ssh port number ? - deadcaribou - 5th Jan, 2014 12:06 AM Hi ! I followed the standard debian way of doing this and changed the port number in /etc/ssh/sshd_config to 313 I verified that changes were correctly written in the file and turned the pi off and on again On reboot, ssh hadn't change port and I had to go through the default port 22 to connect... Any idea why changes in sshdconfig are not taken into account even after a cold boot ? Software XBian version: fresh install + apt-get update & upgrade yesterday XBMC version: idem Overclock settings: none Hardware Power supply rating: RPi model (model A/B 256mb/512mb): B SD card size and make/type: 16gb 45Mo/s Network (wireless or LAN): eth Connected devices (TV, USB, network storage, etc.): none RE: How to change the default ssh port number ? - IriDium - 5th Jan, 2014 05:19 AM Have you tried changing sshd_config as that is the only running ssh. It's just a guess - might work. Also, I know there were plans to implement open_ssh or dropbear but I have no idea if that went ahead. So the config file maybe elsewhere.
