Since the last update the XBIAN-settings show completely messed up dialogs and the backup doesn't work anymore (and the error-message is messed up, too).

Yes, it's because translation file is not done yet in thuis version,
i'm sot sure what the state now, (probably should be ok on staging or devel)
i've no internet for moment, in one or two weeks, i'll adapt transiflex to xbian package

yes, correct language file is inside xbian-package-config-shell at staging repo.
but it's going to stable as version 1 as soon as possible.
