RPi Wont Boot without HDMI Safe Mode - kingblah - 27th Jul, 2014 09:39 PM Hey, Hopefully someone can help! I'm new to the world of Linux so bear with me please. I installed Xbian using the windows installer (the mac installer refused to work and seemed to think the write switch was enabled for some reason). However when I plug the card in and power up the Pi, my TV doesn't detect any signal via HDMI. It's not the cable as HDMI worked fine with Raspbian. I then read some forum articles which suggested using the hdmi_safe option in config.txt, but this seems to result in Xbian having a horribly low resolution. Any ideas?? Software XBian version: 1.0 beta 2 (also tried RC 2) XBMC version: Unchanged Overclock settings: Unchanged Hardware Power supply rating: 5V 1A RPi model (model A/B 256mb/512mb): Model B+ 512MB SD card size and make/type: 8 GB kingston microSD Network (wireless or LAN): LAN Connected devices (TV, USB, network storage, etc.): None RE: RPi Wont Boot without HDMI Safe Mode - IriDium - 28th Jul, 2014 01:30 AM As this is a model B+ 1) See if you have a better PSU - 1amp is not enough for the B+ with USB devices attached. 2) Have you upgraded to the latest kernel - See forum (Search for Raspberry Pi B+) 3) Try the latest "B+" image: http://forum.xbian.org/thread-2400.html |
