Hi all,
I have a problem, perhaps you can help. I made a backup of the .xbmc folder of the version 8.3 and an export of the video db. But I cannot import the old data in the new version 1 alpha 3. After copying the old folder /root/.xbmc to /home/xbmc/.xbmc I set all files to user and group xbian und the file permissions to 777, but the video db is empty. If I try to import the exported db the import is hanging. I choose the folder, hit OK and nothing. XBian freeze.
What can be the problem? Any Idea?

This is probably not possible because of the changes in XBMC.

I'd start by reading this;

I'd move files around into the right place using FTP rather than directly in xbmc, it's quicker
