You somehow installed something that requires sysvinit and thereby broke your setup. Try installing:
Code:
sudo apt-get install xbian-update

RE: Update not working - Bastlwastl - 30th Jan, 2015 12:16 AM

I make a fresh installation and have still the same error after update

RE: Update not working - CurlyMo - 30th Jan, 2015 12:21 AM

Then you need to open an issue about it on our github page: https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian/

I think its the issue I posted yesterday!

RE: Update not working - Skywatch - 3rd Feb, 2015 08:26 PM

Same problem here.

Tried with both the wiki and the faq entries in sources lists, but seems that the update can't find the mirrors for some reason.

RE: Update not working - CurlyMo - 3rd Feb, 2015 08:41 PM

Full error output please Smile

RE: Update not working - Skywatch - 4th Feb, 2015 03:37 AM

Curly Mo,

Here you go (it's the pi that got trashed by an update/upgrade a few weeks back, I reverted to a working image from late last year and tried to update, but this is what happens)...

sudo xbian-config update mirrors fails. So maybe that's a clue?

etc/apt/sources.list..........

#deb http://apt.xbian.org stable main
#deb http://apt.xbian.org staging main
#deb http://apt.xbian.org devel main

etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbian.list.........
deb mirror://apt.xbian.org/mirror.txt stable main rpi-wheezy

Error messages......

RE: Update not working - CurlyMo - 4th Feb, 2015 05:07 AM

Clearly has nothing to do with us because the failure was with Raspbian repository.
