Is GPT supported? Or do we have to stick to MBR? - zilexa - 13th Feb, 2015 07:21 PM Just bought a new 2TB hdd and connected it to my Windows laptop, I have a choice between MBR and GPT. GPT seems to be replacing MBR and has advantages, the cyclic redundancy errors I have had in my life, destroying valuable photos, could be fixed when using GPT. But when I google, I see posts from 2013 on different fora that debian/raspbian does not support GPT via fdisk, you need cfdisk or gparted. Is it by now supported by XBian? Or do I need to install and configure additional tools? RE: Is GPT supported?
