RE: Youtube Addon not working - f1vefour - 8th Mar, 2015 07:57 AM

I just have a feeling it is your power adapter, is your hard drive powered?

RE: Youtube Addon not working - syco - 8th Mar, 2015 08:47 AM

I do not have a USB drive attached. My files are lying on Synology NAS.

But I have the same problems, the other guy just mentioned. A lot of
crashes/freezes and losses of remote/Pulse-CEC or whatever is hanging
there.

I then have to restart manually. Yatse is not connecting anymore until
rebooted.

Could you try downgrading the kernel?

Terminal

sudo apt-get install xbian-package-kernel=3.17.7-ck2+-1421550584

Of course, I can do that or I just did it. I will check the next hours.

Btw, I am using on both Pis (Model B) a 1500 mA power supply (each, of course).

Also, I realized something strange. With Gotham when playing a movie, which the Pi could not play (foreign codec or so), it just stopped. Now with all the new updates the Pi immediately crashes/reboots but in a faster way. It takes about 10/15 seconds until it is back. So, it looks like a fast-reboot or so.

I have experienced this as well, if it is repeatable for you start a new thread and provide the kodi log.

I did that even on the second Pi now and it seems to be better working for now. Thank you.

Okay, so, we shall go forth to newest kernel again? 3.18 something ...

RE: Youtube Addon not working - rikardo1979 - 9th Mar, 2015 10:47 PM

just do a normal system update from within xbian config which should brings you to the latest working 14.2 build

RE: Youtube Addon not working - mariuscotan - 13th Mar, 2015 01:38 AM

Hi rikardo,

Sorry to bother guys, this seems to be a related thread about youtube playback failure, i also have a YouTube playback problem would some one of you help me fix it or give me a solution? When I try downloading YouTube videos with VLC downloader it say vlc is unable to open the mrl. I have no ideas and in this article (http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/vlc-unable-mrl.html) as you can see, it says I have to try a third-party converter to fix it. But i do not really wish to convert any videos because YouTube is in MP4 which has the best compatibility with other devices. Do you guys have other methods which can fix the playback error?
