RE: upgrade fun (6 sept 2015) - mansp - 14th Sep, 2015 01:29 AM

Hi again, I cannot repeat the first error since I chose to install everything except the xbian-update. But I have the log file from the other updates.
Log file

Three images displaying the update issues:

Is there a way to extract the update report?

Can just install xbian-update first and then update the rest.

RE: xbian-update fails - jbernardo - 14th Sep, 2015 01:52 AM

Finally it is running after I did a fresh install and then copied back the old /home/xbian. Still, a bit disappointed that it is now running systemd.

If I do that I get the error "a serious problem has occured.."
Unmet dependencies:
xbian-update: depends: libcec (>= 3.0)

RE: upgrade fun (6 sept 2015) - Fabio72 - 14th Sep, 2015 02:34 AM

same error for me
after updating the repo package, the error disappeared, but xbian dist-upgraded to jessie

RE: upgrade fun (6 sept 2015) - CurlyMo - 14th Sep, 2015 02:41 AM

What error do you get when you try to install libcec manually?
Code:
sudo apt-get install libcec3

I got this warning early on and it prompted me for an answer, I went on with "y".

"WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
libkeyutils1 libc6 libtirpc1 libc-bin locales libkrb5support0 libk5crypto3 libkrb5-3 libgssapi-krb5-2
nfs-common libnih1 libnih-dbus1 libudev1"

Everything seemed to install and it asked me for permission to restart services and such.
However, when I try to install xbian-update I'm stuck with the same error as before (dependency for libcec3)

RE: upgrade fun (6 sept 2015) - CurlyMo - 14th Sep, 2015 04:09 AM

Can you try updating all other packages except xbian-update and then try xbian-update again.

Just tried this with the exact same results as the first post in this thread.

Any idea on the cause (if not the solution)?

RE: xbian-update fails - YoYoost - 14th Sep, 2015 08:46 AM

I just updated all packages successfully as well, without restoring or anything.
The Kodi 15.1 package also fixes the black screens in this: http://forum.xbian.org/thread-2991.html

Please post the output of apt-get upgrade (from the terminal). So the full list of packages.

Can you manually start installing the "kept-back" packages but skip those who force you to use systemd?

Looks the same for both versions of the pi.

The 'dependencies' are not listed either here and yet will not install on their own (See first post in this thread).

What happens if you run "apt-get dist-upgrade". First make a backup though.
