cubox i4pro dvd video_ts.ifo play - bob_janes - 16th Feb, 2016 08:25 PM
I installed xbian latest, february 6, 2016 image for imx6 on cubox-i4pro. I understand I do not need to buy mpeg2 or vc1 license key for cubox-i. Anyway, I have ripped dvds's that I own in a folder sturcture. The folder can be played by video_ts.ifo file. They play fine on my geexbox kodi install. But they do not play on xbian. When I click on the video-ts.ifo file, it tries to read some files it appears, then the screen goes black and kodi just gets back to the main screen. I took someones advice here, and for playing discs in video setting, I checked to go straight to the menu. Then xbian will go to the menu. I click play all episodes, and xbian bring up some warning copyright frames and quits again.
Do I need to buy the license keys for cubox-i? I did run the command cat /proc/cpuinfo in ssh shell, but the serial number is printed as 0000000000000000, see output below. So I am not sure that buying license will work.
I will appreciate any help. I do not want to go back to geexbox because kodi on geexbox stutters on dts-hd-master audio, and I have to play as DTS. xbian on the other hand plays dts-hd-master audio flawlessly with no stutter. But then I can not play ripped dvd disks because of it appears of copyriht issue that geexbox does not have.

I do not play DVD's anymore, but you don't need any license to play videos
