Wireless for Pi2 ? - mborkp - 11th Mar, 2016 01:01 PM

Hi,
any recommendations for working wireless stick for above?
I checked the forum but only older devices found.
Preferably 802.11ac but doesn't have to be.
Any plug and play or something with easy installation will do for beginner like me Smile

Thanks

For 2.4G: I'm using TP-Link TL-WN823N for all of my RPi devices.
For 2.4G/5G: Just testing/added driver for TP-Link Archer T2U AC600 (there are a lot of devices from different manufacturers). Still having no 5G(ac) AP for testing, but 2.4G works very well

Hi,
in fact I do have T2U stick on my Win10 laptop. And guess what, it does not run ac, they still did not released the proper driver for win10 OS (and probably will never do). I saw the thread where you participate to get it running in 5G but I suspect that stick is a 5G scam.
But, as I have it handy, I might give it a go under Xbian/Pi2. Any particular steps I need to do to get it running with 2.4G?
Thanks

Hi,
yes I saw it, it is mostly old hardware, some running at the speed that will not suffice for HD material. That's why I posted my question.
Thanks
