@bazza88 can you post your /home/xbian/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log right after that happened (post it on pastebin.com and link it here).

Yeah no problem.

I did notice that on my server the power management option for allowing the computer to turn off the Ethernet device to save power, was ticked I have now turned that off in case it had anything to do with that.

That server is still down, any ideas?

RE: XBMC Frodo 12.0 Final - CurlyMo - 16th Feb, 2013 11:21 PM

Yes, removing it from /etc/apt/sources.list

RE: XBMC Frodo 12.0 Final - Bamse - 19th Feb, 2013 01:30 AM

Hi there!

I just tried updating Xbian and got the following error after getting to line 9 in the instructions (and after editing out http://aptmirror.no-ip.org from sources.list since it was erroring for me);

Code:
root@xbian:/opt# git clone -b xbian-alpha5 git://github.com/xbianonpi/xbian.git
Cloning into 'xbian'...
fatal: Remote branch xbian-alpha5 not found in upstream origin

I tried searching for it but didn't find anything I could use. Any tips or tricks?

And, not to brown nose excessively, but wow. I've been using Xbian since quite early stages and it really is the best xbmc-build/combo/package for the rPi. Many many thanks for doing this Big Grin

RE: XBMC Frodo 12.0 Final - CurlyMo - 19th Feb, 2013 01:34 AM

That means alpha 5 will be out anytime soon.

RE: XBMC Frodo 12.0 Final - Bamse - 19th Feb, 2013 01:39 AM

aaaah, after activating my brain I browsed it and realized the branch was gone.
/me returns to under derp-stone.

thx Smile

You can ignore those errors, they won't be a problem.

I updated alpha4 using first post instructions back when this thread was created. Today I updated to alpha 5. All went ok but I can't find xbian menu under system -> settings in XBMC. I guess everything is not updated? Any tips?

RE: XBMC Frodo 12.0 Final - CurlyMo - 10th Mar, 2013 08:20 AM

Code:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xbian-package-xbmc
