Can you try upgrading your kernel, firmware and XBMC first? Guide is here: http://forum.xbian.org/thread-370.html

Hello,

(5th Feb, 2013 06:44 AM)Koenkk Wrote:  Can you try upgrading your kernel, firmware and XBMC first? Guide is here: http://forum.xbian.org/thread-370.html

I followed the instructions above and upgraded my system for a few days. The new version looks fine and works good, but today the strange error appears again

http://pastebin.com/7XAMHT5C

uptime
19:26:37 up 2 days, 22:59, 3 users, load average: 0.94, 0.92, 0.65

at the moment i am able to watch a movie but i am not able to connect to the rasp via samba.

Where can i found syslog infos? My Syslog in /var/log/syslog seems to empty!

if I reboot the system the restart doesn´t work. It stopps after the Screen with

XBIAN with letters.

I ´am not able to read whole info because on the left and buttom side there are informations cut up (the displaypictures does not fit in the screen) but theres the line

execute /bin/bash: Permission denied! At this moment it´s not possible to connect over ssh.

Have i install xbian new?

Any ideas? Every ideas are welcome?

I think your filesystem is corrupted. Can you try applying this? http://forum.xbian.org/thread-421.html .

RE: Strange Error - CurlyMo - 9th Feb, 2013 05:39 AM

Do you mean connect to the RPi through samba from another PC
or
Connect from the RPi with samba to another PC

Sorry CurlyMo

i described my problem clear! Samba is installed. And in the last two day the system has as uptime iam always able to connect and use the file on external 3" Space.

Until this evening. The system shows the dmesg messages witch i have poste above

I believe like Koenkk: the file system on the sd carte is corrupt.

I haven't seen any statement about you already having samba installed. But you can try logging into the rescue kernel (if available) and running: fchk /dev/mmcblk0p2

On my linux box i make
fsck -f /dev/mmcblk0p2

some things are to repair. After a second filecheck everything is reportes as o.k.

But:

if I reboot the system the restart doesn´t work. It stopps after the Screen with

RE: Strange Error - CurlyMo - 9th Feb, 2013 06:50 AM

Then probably an unfixable corruption.

RE: Strange Error - raspberry_pd - 10th Feb, 2013 05:08 AM

Hi mini-pi

Where you have written this:

OC with XBIAN Setting

If that means you have used the XBian config menu to overclock beyond the standard XBian overclocking, I would suggest that you try a new SD card and a new install of XBian. However this time, do not overclock beyond the default XBian overclock settings. Overclocking beyond the normal XBian default overclocking of 840 MHz has been known to cause SD card corruption and it appears to me that SD card corruption is the core of your problem.

Good luck.
