[Solved]Can't Install NextPVR - spleencheese - 14th Jul, 2022 05:59 AM

Trying to install NextPVR using:

sudo apt-get install kodi-pvr-nextpvr

This is what it comes back with:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
xbian-package-shairplay : Conflicts: libshairplay0
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.

Does anyone know what I need to do to be able to get this to install please? When I try to install the addon from the PVR menu it says Addon could not be loaded. I also can't reach the configuration webpage from a browser using the ip address.

Thanks in advance.

Why do you want to install this?

Like all other PVR addons, this is always included in the xbian-package-xbmc.

So just activate, configure and be happy

By the way, where does the package come from anyway, it's definitely not from XBian

I want to install it because I have just subscribed to an IPTV service. IPTV Simple Client doesn't record streams. NextPVR does.

Anyway, it suddenly showed up in the PVR addons list and I've (kind of) got it working. Thanks for your response.
